  • HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training involves pairing periods of intense high energy exercise with low effort rest intervals to challenge specific energy system.


  • Inferno Pilates uses Pilates principles of control for effective core building and HIIT to get the cardiovascular up and calories burning. Your core is also known as the power house and refers to the transverse abdominal muscle, spinae erectors, pelvic floor, diaphragm, glutes and legs. A strong core is the foundation for good posture and all functional movements.


  • HIIT Yoga is another popular class that uses bodyweight with the principles of Yoga to connect breath, mindfulness and strength.


Study has shown that performing a HIIT workout for a period of two weeks can improve your aerobic capacity just as much as six to eight weeks of regular cardiovascular or endurance training.


Why it's important to work the intervals as efficiently as possible in the given time?

The maximum burn or intense exertion kicks your body's repair cycle into hyperdrive, meaning you will continue to burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a HIIT workout than you do after, let's say, a steady pace run on a threadmill.


HIIT pushes your body into anaerobic zone making your muscles burn glucose as energy, overtime increasing this anaerobic threshold where you can workout longer with increased endurance without compensating intensity.


Weight training and HIIT workouts allow dieters to preserve their hard-earned muscles while ensuring most of the weight lost comes from fat cells and not from the muscle mass.

Low impact simply means that there's always a part of your body that is touching the floor when you move and it's great especially if you are in a process of healing your body and would like to take care of your joints.


The special thing about Inferno Pilates classes is the heat factor. The room is heated to hover around 90-95 degrees farenheit so your muscles warm up very quickly. You'll fire up your core, arms, legs and glutes with a hefty dose of squats, planks, push ups, mountain climbers, and while reaping the fat-burning benefits of a HIIT tempo. All of this actions are done in a hot room without the need to add on plyometric or high impact movements.
