Chiropractic Treatment

Chiropractors are trained to diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

“Fitness people have been using, very extensively, chiropractors in order to stay healthy and fit. Whenever I had a little problem with my body, I always ran to one of my dear friends, he was always right there with the adjustments. This is how I found out the best way of going, is to use chiropractors, not only after injuries, but also before injury.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

Frequently Asked Questions

Education Regarding Injury

When one is injured it's Dr. Mere's opinion that you learn about what your particular injury is, what was damaged, and what to do and/or avoid to assist in recovery. It's Dr. Mere's opinion that the more you understand about your injury, the more likely you will not further aggravate it. Further, your understanding should enable you, the patient, to acknowledge how and why following through with the prescribed treatment regimen and home care exercises is beneficial to one's recovery.

Components of Care

Chiropractic treatment delivered by Dr. Mere DC includes an educational component regarding the nature of the injury itself. Treatments typically delivered may include mobilization, manipulation, traction, manipulation/ adjustments and active and passive stretching. Typically, depending on the nature and extent of injury, patients are provided with home care instruction to help supplement their recovery while at home and when their schedule permits. Treatment sessions with Dr. Andrew Mere DC are typically 20-30 minutes in length.
